Past work experience
Applicants must have at least one year of work experience directly related to their PEI job offer.

If a person meets all eligibility criteria, they may follow the instructions below to apply for provincial nomination.
In order to apply for the PEI Occupations In Demand stream, candidates must begin by creating and submitting a profile within the Prince Edward Island Expression of Interest system (PEI EOI system). Profiles submitted to the PEI EOI system are valid for a maximum of six months.
Certain candidates will be selected from the PEI EOI system and contacted directly by the PEI PNP. These candidates will be given the opportunity to submit an official application for provincial nomination by PEI.
Once an applicant has been approved for provincial nomination, the person may then submit an application to the federal government for Canadian permanent resident status. While waiting for federal application processing, applicants may be eligible for a work permit support letter, enabling them to obtain a work permit and begin working in PEI.
