The stream specifically targets workers in entry level and semi-skilled occupations that require limited training, or no training at all. Nominated foreign nationals must be working in a job classified at National Occupational Classification (NOC) level C or D in order to be eligible.
If you have a job offer in the Northwest Territories, you will need to first work for the employer for at least six months before they can apply to the Northwest Territories Entry Level/Semi-Skilled Occupations stream for you. A positive Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) is not required, but an employer must show they have tried to recruit locally before employing a foreign national.
