From January through October 2025, New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP) has issued invitations to apply through regular rounds under both its Skilled Worker and Express Entry streams.

The province has maintained a steady multi-sector approach, inviting candidates across health care, construction trades, education, and social and community services.

Earlier rounds in August 2025 were among the most active of the year, with more than 1,050 invitations issued across multiple pathways, including Experience, Graduates, and Express Entry-linked streams.

This consistent pattern of draws highlights New Brunswick’s focus on retaining in-province talent while also supporting employer-driven recruitment through pathways that connect local businesses with skilled international candidates.

What Candidates Can Do

If you’re already working in New Brunswick or have a job offer with a local employer, the Skilled Worker Stream remains a strong route to permanent residence.

Candidates with at least one year of full-time New Brunswick experience or recent graduation from a provincial institution are particularly well positioned.

Those meeting federal Express Entry requirements and employed by a New Brunswick-based company may also qualify under the Express Entry Stream, which continues to issue invitations in 2025 for candidates with active work experience in the province.

After Nomination

Once nominated, candidates must apply for permanent residence through Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) before their nomination certificate expires (typically six months from issuance).

New Brunswick also reminds nominees that withdrawing a nomination to reapply under another provincial stream is not permitted, and all conditions of nomination must be maintained until PR approval.
