A nighttime Vancouver time-lapse video is going viral today, and it’s easy to see why.
Rafferty Baker is an overnight journalist for the CBC in Vancouver, who also enjoys photography.
Since February, he’s been working on a video that showcases the city’s beauty, and one of the great things about it is its backstory.
“After midnight, a lot of times the stories are bad news – violent crimes, crashes, house fires. But we live in a beautiful city and at night, Vancouver can absolutely sparkle at times,” he told CBC News.
The finished product has been almost a year in the making, and certainly captures the city’s charm as most of its residents sleep. Take a bow, Rafferty!
Sound mixing on the video was by Lee Rosevere, a music producer and CBC colleague of Rafferty’s.
