After arriving in Canada without English or French as her native language, she gained a firsthand understanding of the linguistic, cultural, and professional challenges newcomers face. This lived experience has shaped her approach to her professional life—Indira successfully transformed her international experience into a thriving career as a content and SEO strategist. Drawing on her creative instincts and cultural insight, she develops clear, accessible, and relevant content that resonates with diverse audiences. Her work is driven by both strategic precision and a genuine desire to empower others through information.
Now based in Toronto after two vibrant years in Montreal, Indira remains a mover—both literally and figuratively. She’s always exploring new cities and coffee shops, and always up for a good conversation over dessert and a strong espresso. Don’t be surprised if she calls a new Canadian city home soon.
Landed in Montreal in 2022 as an international student, Indira was determined to build a future in Canada. She enrolled in a program that allowed her to study at night and work full-time during the day—an opportunity made possible by the temporary policy introduced in late 2022, which permitted international students to work up to 40 hours per week. This flexibility helped her cover her living expenses.
A key component of her academic program was a professional internship, which opened the door to her first Canadian work experience in digital marketing. After graduating, Indira obtained her Post-Graduation Work Permit and quickly transitioned into roles where she could apply her marketing expertise and continue supporting newcomers on their path to Canada.
