Senior Accountant

What — the role: Our client seeking a new Senior Accountant. This role is open due to an employee moving internally to another department. The responsibilities of this role are diverse, and the new Senior Accountant will support the Director of Finance with full-cycle accounting and analysis, as well as ad hoc projects and process improvements. This is within a multi-currency, multi-national, multi-entity publicly-listed company, so there is a good deal of interesting complexity for the Senior Accountant to work on. The recruitment agency will provide interested candidates with a thorough job description. 

Who — the candidate: We are looking for an individual with at least 3 years of full-cycle accounting work experience, ideally trained in a multi-national public practice accounting firm followed by experience in industry, but one or the other will also be considered. Canadian CPA designation or international equivalent is highly preferred, almost required, but candidates who will be designated soon may also be considered. Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, V look-ups, etc.) is required. Candidates will have a friendly, clear, and professional communication style.

Bonus points… 

• Experience working for a multi-national company, particularly with entities in Europe or Asia Pacific.
• Experience working for a public company.
• Experience using an ERP such as Oracle, SAP, or JD Edwards. 
• Experience working in the fast-paced technology sector is an asset.
• Multi-lingual — this company has operations in over a dozen countries, so there are quite a few languages that would be beneficial!

How much: Competitive base salary commensurate with level of skills, experience, and education.
