Trusted Hiring Partner

Working remotely from anywhere in Canada. Our client is an incredibly successful, stable, and well-established Canadian company that is growing extremely quickly, both organically and through acquisitions. The company is looking for an experienced full-cycle recruitment superstar with excellent relationship building skills (candidates, hiring managers, colleagues). TA Specialist can be based anywhere in Canada, with preference for BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, or Quebec.

Who — the company: This company was established decades ago and has evolved to become one of the largest in their industry in Canada. The business has been growing by leaps and bounds, both organically and via acquisitions. Many of their employees have been with the company for 10 years or more, which speaks volumes about the organization’s values and commitment to their people and their customers.  In the last couple years the organization has undertaken major business and digital transformations. The company has been hiring very impressive leadership, and it’s a very well-respected and well-managed business in a backbone industry that is relatively recession-proof (for example, no lay-offs occurred due to Covid-19).

What — the role: Our client is looking to hire a new Talent Acquisition Specialist. Reporting into a Senior TA Manager, the TA Specialist will be responsible for full-cycle recruitment for diverse searches across multiple Canadian provinces and for providing candidates and new employees with an excellent experience.

The TA Specialist will work alongside HR colleagues in learning & development, HRIS analysis, HR projects & operations, payroll & benefits, etc., and also collaborate with departments outside of HR. The TA Specialist will have the opportunity to support various TA-related projects and initiatives, such as a career website redesign, ATS implementation, employment branding, networking and career fairs, etc. The recruitment agency will provide interested candidates with a more detailed job description.

Who — the candidate: We are looking for a proven full-cycle recruitment professional with at least 2 years (ideally 5+ years) of relevant and recent experience in agency and/or internal recruitment (preference for both).  Relationship building skills are crucial! Candidates will be strong at all facets of the recruitment life cycle, from qualifying the search with hiring managers to job posting to sourcing to screening & shortlisting to interviewing to offer and negotiation. In addition to excellent recruitment skills, we are seeking individuals who are down-to-earth, humble, assertive, knowledgeable, helpful, and curious. Great communication skills are crucial, as is a self-motivated work style and a team-player attitude. Our client is a values-based company that seeks out employees who embody their culture of mutual respect, efficiency, honesty, and customer service.

How much: Competitive base salary commensurate with the hired individual’s experience and qualifications. The employee will also receive great health benefits, professional development support, and other great employee perks. Please discuss further with the recruitment agency.

Where: Working remotely from home from anywhere in Canada, or perhaps working from a small corporate office depending on where the TA Specialist lives. The preference is for this TA Specialist to be based in BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, or Quebec. That said, we are also open to strong candidates based in the Atlantic provinces or the Territories. The company’s corporate headquarters are in Greater Vancouver.
