Understanding Your CRS Score

Core/Human Capital Factors

This includes age, education, language proficiency, and Canadian work experience. For a single applicant, this can account for up to 500 points.

Spouse/Common-Law Partner 

If applicable, your spouse or common-law partner's education, language skills, and Canadian work experience can positively impact your CRS score, adding up to  40 points to your total.

Skill Transferability Factors

These are bonus points for certain combinations of skills (e.g., education and language proficiency), accounting for up to 100 points.

Additional Points

These can be earned through a provincial nomination (600 points), a valid job offer (up to 200 points), Canadian study experience, a sibling in Canada, French language ability, or other additional factors, for a maximum of 600 points.
