Canada continues to attract the Irish with open arms, a fact that is drawing the interest of mainstream media organisations. On the 4th of April, Global News B.C. was the latest to focus on the influx of talented Irish workers flocking to Canada.

Moving to Canada has never been such a popular choice for the Irish as it is today. As we mentioned last week, the IEC visas for Irish citizens for 2014 were snapped up in a matter of minutes. Many of these emigrants will choose to move to Western Canada, taking advantage of some wonderful employment opportunities in the construction industry.

Moving2Canada founder, Ruairi Spillane, was on hand to give Global News viewers a sense of what this means for both Canada and the incoming Irish. “We share the same language, very similar cultures, a strong work ethic, and Irish workers are known to be around the world. They say we’ve built a lot of New York, we’ve built a lot of London, and I guess here we are building a lot of Canada.”

If you’d like to learn more about working in the construction or engineering sectors in Western Canada, please register your details with us.
